Were the Howling Commandos or Bucky Barnes famous, in-universe, after MCU's version of WWII? Whose theories are we talking about? For Steve Rogers' relationship with women, we're not sure if this covers a particular perspective on his sexuality, his socialization, or his ships, or any of these, or none..? There are definitely worldbuilding topics in here but we're not sure we're reading these as the same ones you meant.

I did not participate in nominations, but I assume the Star Trek tag about crewmates being Godlike refers to an episode from The Original Series where Kirk's friend and colleague Gary Mitchell develops psychic and telekinetic abilities and becomes tyrannical and convinced of his own godhood and an episode of Lower Decks where the first officer Jack Ransom is exposed to the same strange energy that Mitchell was and becomes similiarly powerful and autocratic (but describes Mitchell as being like an ant compared to him). There was also multiple episodes of Deep Space Nine where characters became possessed by Pah-wraithes, who are the enemies and former compatriots of the beings the Bajoran people worship, the Prophets. The TNG episode Masks where Data is possessed by, among thousands others, a personality called Ihat may also be relevant here? There is also a pastiche of Masks featured in Lower Decks. B'Elanna Torres' then-unborn daughter Miral Paris was also believed to be a pre-destined Klingon chosen one, the Kuvah'magh by a group of Klingons that the Voyager crew encountered on a generation ship in the Delta Quadrant, but I don't think this one fits this nomination.

Also Sisko himself and his relationship with the Prophets, Kes on Voyager, Amanda Grayson and Wesley Crusher if we’re counting becoming a being with power close enough to omnipotence to serve as a god from a human perspective…I suppose the nominator might need to clarify if they meant one of the more specific scenarios, but this certainly happens often enough for there to be some kind of entry in the Starfleet crew manual and/or Academy training about it.

Hi, I nominated the two Star Trek WB tags. With the first, it was definitely in reference to the events listed by

obstinatecondolement above across multiple series. I used the most general Star Trek media tag I could find because I didn't care which particular series, if any, the creator chose to tie it to. I did phrase it a bit jokey so maybe it would be clearer if we put it as "WB: Starfleet guidelines about what to do when someone gets godlike powers".

With the 101 things, my intent was to reference Skippy's List aka "213 Things Skippy Is No Longer Allowed To Do In the US Army." As the name suggests it's basically an old list of things a low-ranking soldier had to be told not to do, supposedly based on orders that the writer was either directly given or witnessed happen. There are also various fandom-flavored versions around. The worldbuilding would be whatever the in-universe equivalent in Starfleet might be. Maybe instead something like "WB: Starfleet equivalent of Skippy's List" or would that still be too prompt-like or require research? If it is, I'm fine to drop it.

We can change it to WB: Starfleet rules and regulations governing unusual situations, and you can prompt for a Skippy's List type thing, but you might receive something else. Please let us know!

As for the series, this exchange allows general series and subseries to be nominated separately, and this nomination was made for just plain Star Trek. A participant could prompt for this tag to be applied to a particular series, but might not receive that particular series.

I'm not the nominator, but Bucky Barnes and the rest of the Howling Commandos were well known historical figures in the MCU. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we're shown glimpses of a Captain America exhibit at the Smithsonian that also heavily features Bucky and the Howling Commandos.

WB: Langya Hall Information Technology and Services (Nirvana in Fire) was mine, and I'd like that version of the tag to stay. I do think it would probably cover many of the things that "WB: Langya archive" could mean, but possibly not all? I could see someone potentially requesting things about the social lives of the people who live/work there, or how it was founded, or other things along those lines. But I intended the more focused version of the tag and would prefer it not be wrapped into a broader tag.

This was not my nomination, but I did notice a duplicate fandom in the tagset. Under Uncategorized Fandoms, there's a "Jujutsu Kaisen (Manga)" fandom tag with four character tags attached to it. I believe that the fandom is a repeat of "呪術廻戦 | Jujutsu Kaisen (Manga)" under Anime & Manga, which seems to include all four of those characters (along with some WB tags).

In this canon, targeted rumors convince the cultivation world that the main character is an active threat, to the point that he is ambushed multiple times and eventually killed. And after his death/before his resurrection, he's basically made into the boogey man by not only cultivators but also the common people.

The character is Wei Wuxian, but of course I'm not sure what the intentions of the nominator were, and this is a much more specific tag... "Deliberate" specifically might be an issue since the rumors really ended up taking on a life of their own 🤔

Now that I'm more awake too, rumors is really a major theme of the novel, so there are some rumors that the nominator might want to explore that don't fall under that specific tag, i.e. the rumors that Wei Wuxian is Jiang Fengmian's bastard son that predate everything I was talking about earlier

I might suggest:

WB: Rumors as a Significant Force in the Cultivation World (MDZS)

Unless of course the intention was specifically about the content of the rumors themselves... I think my worldbuilding tag touches on a major theme of the book, but that doesn't mean it's what they want.

Not the nominator but in the Thor movies Loki is taken from Jotunheim as a baby, and it's never expanded upon what his birth father (Laufey) and the other Frost Giants actually know happened to him. Like, do they know Prince Loki of Asgard is their stolen prince? Do they think the baby died? What do they think of everything that happened?

WB: Elves and Ainur in History (Middle-earth)

Not the nominator but this is a pretty common trope/topic for exploration in Tolkien fandom. These are immortal characters and "XXX in history" is regularly used as a shorthand/tag for exploration of that character or group's deeds or adventures at any point in history - Middle-earth history or our own (they're the same world, per Tolkien; LOTR, Silm etc. are fictional "lost histories"). I highly doubt it's about the relations between the two groups, it's more likely it's intended to present creators with options. I'd leave as is, or change to "Elves and/or Ainur in History" - or even separate into "Elves in History" and "Ainur in History." Tolkien fans will know what it means.

Don't know on the other Middle-earth tag, though. I imagine it is to do with the books, not the video game, as it's similar wording to a chapter title from Fellowship. Looking at the nominated characters, my best guess is that it's something to do with the way history continues to echo and impact through the Ages - but that is a guess.

As to WB: Elves and Ainur in History (Middle-earth), we have been asking that tags focus on a single topic, not and/or choices. If the nominator intended this choice, we would ask them to link their noms page, and either pick one, or if they did not nominate five WB tags we'll happily give them two tags, one for the Elves and one for the Ainur. Otherwise we need more clarification.

Some Tortall tags have non breaking space code where there should be spaces (... DW keeps turning them into spaces but they're broken in the tagset).
