We'd like more help with nominations! Thanks for clarifying and providing other information.
Please don’t nominate Any Characters (Fandom), or Any/No Characters (Fandom), as we will be adding these in the back end in the format Any or No Characters (Fandom). You don’t have to nominate Original Characters (Fandom), as we will be adding these in the back end.
逆転裁判 | Gyakuten Saiban | Ace Attorney - The tags “WB: No Callisto Yew (AA)” and “WB: No DL-6 incident (AA)” seem as if, rather than exploring unseen details of an aspect of the actual canon, they may be prompting for what-if AUs, which is outside the scope of this exchange. We’re happy to discuss possible worldbuilding tags that might include these broad topics within canon.
Andor (TV) - The tag "WB: Coruscant/senatorial politics and culture (Andor)" seems to cover several different ideas. Could this tag possibly be divided or narrowed down a bit - or help us understand what you're looking for, please?
Doctor Who (1963) - Can you clarify your intent for the tag “WB: Human history (DW 1963)”?
Fallout (Video Games) - Is “Fallout: New Vegas Companions” a character tag, or a worldbuilding tag? If the former, please nominate individual companions as their own tags. If the latter, please use the WB: format and expand a little on what you’re looking for in the worldbuilding. Also, we see that Mojave Wasteland is a canon location - should the tag "WB: Everyday life in the Mojave Desert" refer to the Mojave Wasteland instead?
The Following - some of these are tags we approved previously, however we are trying to approve tags in a more consistent format so that it's clearer how to nominate in future. Would "WB: Time period between when Joe is first caught & when series begins" and "WB: Interactions with law enforcement while Joe is in prison" work for you in place of "WB: interaction between Joe Carroll & Ryan Hardy while Joe was imprisoned (Following)" and "WB: Ryan Hardy's years after catching Joe Carroll the first time (Following)"?
Four Ways to Forgiveness - Ursula K. Le Guin - The tag "WB: in-universe texts/documents (Four Ways to Forgiveness) is a worldbuilding tag, but it seems to be already covered by a medium tag (in-universe meta). Did you want texts or documents about something specific? Could you give us a bit more information about what you were thinking of, please?
Kamen Rider Geats - “WB: The Future (Geats)” seems broad. Could you clarify what you’re looking for here please?
Kamen Rider Revice - For "WB: History of other Riders in Revice world (Revice)" - who is covered by 'other'? Does this mean Riders who aren't Revice, or Riders not from the Igarashi family, or Riders who are implied to exist but who neither appear nor are specifically mentioned on the show, or something else?
Kuroshitsuji | Black Butler - Could we rephrase “wb: outsider pov on phantomhive family (kuroshitsuji)” along the lines of “WB: Reputation of the Phantomhive Family”? Or did you mean something else? We’d like it to be a broader topic, rather than a prompt for a particular way of addressing the topic.
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow (TV) - The tags “WB: having the ability to undo past mistakes (LoT)” and “WB: time travel and changing history (LoT)” seem like similar topics. Nominator, could you explain the distinction between them, and help us narrow down what separate things you might want from each tag? Or if these are from separate nominators, is there a way to combine them that would suit you both??
Mabinogion - Anonymous - For this tag: "WB: Math could not live unless his feet were in the lap of a virgin unless war prevented him" - there is clearly immense scope for worldbuilding here and kudos for summarising within 100 characters, but we foresee future confusion if approving tags in the format of "Canon happened" rather than "topic about canon thing". Would something like "WB: Exploration of Math needing to rest his feet in the lap of a virgin unless war prevented him" work OK?
MASH (TV) - “WB: post Korean War (MASH TV)” is a real-world thing, and also quite broad. Could we approve it as WB: Characters’ Lives or Families Post-Korean War? Or did you have something else in mind?
One Tree Hill - Could we approve “WB: 5 year time jump” as “WB: What happened during the 5-year time jump (One Tree Hill)”, or did you mean something different by this?
Original Work - Fantasy - “WB: Folklore (OW-Fantasy)” seems quite broad; could you please either let us know what have in mind, or can you expand the tag a little, so that requesters and offerers will be on the same page? Also, we’re not sure we understand what ‘hard’ means in “WB: In universe understanding of a hard magic system (OW-Fantasy)”?
Original Work - Hard SF Space Setting and Original Work - Science Fiction - may we combine these into a single fandom?
Worldbuilding tags are:
WB: Criminal Underworld in Interplanetary Trade (OW-Hard SF)
WB: Economics of Sublight Space Travel (OW-Hard SF)
WB: Interplanetary Plague (OW-Hard SF)
WB: Rebellion on Colony Planet (OW-Hard SF)
WB: Terraforming (OW-Hard SF)
WB: Use of Robotics (OW-Hard SF)
&
WB: Alien tech regarded as gifts from the gods (OW - Science Fiction)
WB: Failing lunar colony orbiting habitable planet (OW - Science Fiction)
WB: Planetary colony on world with native inhabitants (OW - Science Fiction)
Also, we're not sure if the following tags were intended as worldbuilding tags or character tags. We will not accept specific characters of this kind, but possibly the broader parts of the concepts you're interested in could be approved as worldbuilding tags. Could you clarify what you're looking for here please?
Android servant who begins to remember original programming (OW - Science Fiction)
Diplomat visiting lost colony world (OW - Science Fiction)
Space traveller stranded on prehistoric-tech planet (OW - Science Fiction)
Original Work - Spec Bio - We're happy to approve this as Original Work - Speculative Biology. However we'd like to clarify some tags please. First, we're not familiar with "Complex covert sexual reproduction" and Google isn't helping - could you clarify please? What did you have in mind for "Magic as biology"? And was the tag for "Extremely long orbital periods" meant to cover something like "Effect on ecology of extremely long orbital periods" or "Extremely long orbital periods' impact on species' development"?
Oxford Time Travel Universe - Connie Willis For this tag: "WB: time travelers from different eras running into each other" - are you referring to canon events, or prompting for its occurrence? Would something like "WB: Protocols for encounters between time travelers from different eras" work?
Rivers of London - Ben Aaronovitch - sorry, we approved a tag we're not sure we understand fully. For "WB: how magic gets integrated into the modern worldview once it is revealed (RoL)" does this mean the specific reveal of magic to the London police force, or a presumed more general reveal in future, or something else?
Samurai of Hyuga - Devon Connell - We have a question about the tag “WB: Universe where the ronin doesn't kill Gensai Takeda”. Is this asking for an Alternate Universe, or is this dependent on choices made by the player? If prompting for a what-if AU, this is outside the scope of this exchange.
The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle - Stuart Turton - Does the tag “WB: Other prison- cruise ship with ten people trying to solve murder” refer to a specific prison-cruise ship? Is this a prompt, or could you explain how this is worldbuilding for this canon? Also, we’re not sure we understand “WB: backstory on how this system came to be” - could you clarify, please?
Star Trek: The Original Series - The tag “WB: Sociology of the Enterprise (ST: TOS)” seems very broad and we're not completely sure we understand what you're hoping to request and offer - could you let us know what you had in mind please?
Star Trek: The Next Generation - The tag “WB: Sociology of the Enterprise (ST: TNG)” seems very broad and we're not completely sure we understand what you're hoping to request and offer - could you let us know what you had in mind please?
ウルトラマンブレーザー | Ultraman Blazar - For the tag "WB: Ultraman Families", were you looking for exploration of the family structure of the alien being, or what it might be like to be an ordinary family member of someone who is an Ultra host, or something else?
Vorkosigan Saga - Lois McMaster Bujold - “WB: Marriage (Vorkosigan Saga)” seems rather broad. Can you clarify what you are looking for here please?
Please don’t nominate Any Characters (Fandom), or Any/No Characters (Fandom), as we will be adding these in the back end in the format Any or No Characters (Fandom). You don’t have to nominate Original Characters (Fandom), as we will be adding these in the back end.
